Christmas at Chez Underwood ~ the master bedroom

Okay, here's tree #2 for those who are counting! This is the infamous tree in my bedroom. I am a huge advocate of having a pretty Christmas tree in your bedroom ... for more on that read this.

This tree is relatively small ... and it's actually meant to be an outdoor tree ... came from Big Lots in a pretty urn. But it's slim and that makes it perfect for a corner in my bedroom.

Here's another picture to give perspective about where the tree is. It's nestled into a corner between my long dresser and the bed. As you can see, I have a chest/coffee table for my bedside table. I need lots of space (normally for books, lotions, etc) but for the holidays I packed up all the extra stuff and added a few little decorations. You can see a bit of the urn the tree is is from this view - and the cords. (oops!)

No picture of my dresser yet .. though it is decorated. I am waiting because I have a mirror to be hung and I want you to see the whole thing done. Hopefully I can add that picture early next week. :-)

We use a sofa table to hold the TV in our room. And so it gets a little holiday touch as well. Casiday bought me those 3 reindeer a few years ago and I adore them. The milkglass footed bowl was my great-grandmother's and holds a few ornaments.

And our bed ... I just love the word art on the wall. (Need to hang some mistletoe from the ceiling fan over the bed, huh?)

And so my wish for you all is captured on this little pillow I hung from the lamp beside Scott's side of the bed. "Keep Christmas in Your Heart" ... and remember the decorations, food, and festivities are wonderful ... allow them to remind you of the celebration awaiting us in Heaven when we meet the Babe of Bethlehem as the King of the Ages.

LOVE. What is the word art? Is it painted on the wall or a decal or part of the thingy above it? That's so neat!

It's a decal thing ... you can get them almost anywhere ... target, wal mart, etc. I love it!!
