Christmas at Chez Underwood ~ HOPE!

Casiday's middle name is Hope. We chose it because we claimed God's promise to grant us a child ... we had a "confident expectation" that God would fulfill our heart's desire. I've written a few posts about Casiday ... this one is one of my favorites. She's even written a guest post for me ... a true challenge about spiritual matters.

And so I have a beautiful collection of "Hope" ornaments ... in fact, so many that they have earned their own tree (#7) ...

How have your children affected your Christmas decorations? Do have any special ornaments you are saving for them?

I have shotgun shell lights and baseball ornaments on my tree. Does that count? (Tee hee!)

Love your Hope tree!

My kids each have a little tree in their rooms that they get to decorate. And I have a box for each of them with ornaments that are theirs. They get to put them up on the main tree and they love it! I make ornatments every year for them or buy them if I just run out of time/energy. But my plan is to give them the box as part of their wedding gift. That way when they each have their first tree it will be full of memories.

That is beautiful! Stephanie, I love that idea of having their own trees and giving the ornaments to them as a wedding gift!

We have a small tree on the landing of our stairs that is the "kids tree" - it has their ornaments they have made and some fun cute ones that they just like looking at.

By the way... my daughter's middle name is Grace and her first name means "beautiful" - it is my prayer that she is the aroma of God's beautiful grace to those around her, and she surely is God's beautiful grace in our own lives! :)

My Mom has been getting Aiden the Hallmark numbered ornaments each year...she did the same with my oldest daughter. Not sure what she's got planned for Miss Savannah!
